To join the reservation list, a non-refundable (but transferable) deposit of $500 required, along with a completed puppy application. Please review our Purchase Agreement and Health Guarantee/Spay Neuter Contract before putting down a deposit.  Your deposit can be made via Bank Wire, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal. We also have options for payment plans. Your deposit determines the order of the reservation list for you choosing a puppy, not the application. The total price for my puppies ranges from $3,000 to $3,500, with the deposit contributing to this amount.

 

What exactly do you get when buying a puppy from Schnauzer Paw Homestead?

Through our Instagram (@schnauzerpaw) you can see all of my breeding dogs live a normal life inside our house. We pride ourself in not raising kennel dogs.

​

Every week when a litter is born we send out what we call our "Weekly Newsletter" to help all of our future customers prepare for adding their new giant schnauzer family member to their future forever homes. In this newsletter you can expect tips and tricks to help you, updates on what new things are happening that week for the pups, and I take individual pictures of each puppy every week so you can watch them grow! 

 

Each of our puppies at three days old though sixteen days old go through a process called ENS (Early Neurological Stimulations) which is a serious of exercises given to puppies to introduce safe, minor stressors to stimulate the neurological system during a critical window of rapid growth.

At four weeks old my (human) babies start interacting with the puppies everyday until they go home to get them used to all the fun things little toddlers do including but not limited to yelling, crying, being slightly to rough, and loving with all their hearts!

​

At four/five weeks old (weather dependent) my puppies start seeing the outside world in their little puppy playground. Their puppy playground including many different types of stimulants, textures, obstacle courses, and crates, with the intent of building confidence, strength, motor skills, and encourages problem solving skill. I know that might sound crazy when you are talking about a 5-8 week old puppy, but since adding this to my program I have seen the difference myself in how this type of activity at such an early age excels puppies.

At four weeks old we also start potting training, by no means am I saying they will be potty trained by the time they go home, but it is a great head start. We start with using puppy pads and weather dependent we also start potty training outside.

We also start the initial process of crate training. Again, by no means will they be crate trained, but we do try and get them used to being in small confine spaces.

​

At five weeks old local families can come out and visit the litter to pick out your future puppy! Only families with deposits on that particular litter can visit the puppies. Our number one concerns is the health and safety of all our dogs. No outside dogs can enter the property or see the puppies. Being able to come and visit the litter of puppies is truly something special. Sometimes a puppy picks out their future family, sometimes you get that gut feeling on which one will be the perfect fit for you. Families coming to visit the litter at an early age also help with their socialization. Live to far to visit? No worries, we are happy to schedule Facetime calls so you can still experience this special moment.​

At seven weeks old we complete the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test. This can be very beneficial when needing a puppy for a certain task, but I have breed GS for a while at this point and I have told past customers when selecting out puppies that some pups would not be my first choice in a service dog and sure enough they always prove me wrong. This breed is crazy intelligent and with the right trainer and love any GS can become anything they want to be.

Lastly, you get lifetime support from me. I am here to help my customers in any way, shape, or form that I can. I know buying a puppy is a daunting task and can be overwhelming and I am here to any and all questions! 9 years and counting on breeding dogs, lifetime of having dogs, happy to help and share all of my experience!

When your puppy goes home it will be:

- Up to date on current vaccinations

- Up to date on their deworming schedule

- Have tails and declaws removed (unless other wise asked)

- Vet-checked for health assurance

- Provided with vaccine records

- Accompanied by a go-home goodie bag; extra food, a toy, collapsible water bowl, poop bags, and a blanket with mom and siblings scent to help with their transition.
